about
Lorna Graves was born in Cumbria and worked in clay, so I felt this connection between us, me, a born and bred Cumbrian, working in clay. Her work was ethereal, honest and deep rooted in her local landscape. Being conscious of her relatively recent death, I decided against lyrics, to let the music translate something about her work and my connection with both that and our shared locale, through a Soundscape, captured from my many daily dog walks, from birdsong to flight and the wind in the trees. (Gwen)
Written and performed by Gwen Bainbridge (ukelele & vocals). With Rich Evans (cello), June Swift (vocals), Tom Corda-Stanley (double bass).
