about
My first introduction to Lady Anne was through having to teach primary school children about this lady, born during Tudor times, who had a great impact on the local community. What struck me was her dogged determination during such male dominated times. She outlived several monarchs and two husbands, lived through the Civil War, Reformation of the monarchy and finally, after a life-long battle, gained her true inheritance, denied originally, due to her gender - quite a gal, both for the 1600s and for contemporary times. Written and sung by Gwen Bainbridge (vocals & ukelele). With June Swift (vocals), Rich Evans (vocals & cello), Peter Michael Rowan (mandolin)
